Privacy Notice

The Cork Room is a social space for boards, notes, and messages. This notice explains the information the service uses and the choices available to you.
Information we use
We use your email address, username, profile details, and authentication information to create and protect your account. We store the boards, notes, drawings, photos, links, comments, messages, and other content you choose to share. We also use activity such as follows, likes, reports, and notification settings to provide social features and respond to abuse. Basic device, network, and request information is used to keep the service working and limit misuse.
Who can see your content
Public boards and their published content can be seen by other people. Private boards and direct messages are shown only to people with access through the app. Publishing and sharing settings control what others can see. Service operators may access content when needed to operate, secure, or moderate the service. Stored content is encrypted by the service; it is not end-to-end encrypted.
Service providers and outside links
We use Supabase for account authentication and database services, Vercel to host the app, and Cloudflare for DNS, security checks when enabled, and uploaded media storage. If you choose an outside sign-in provider, that provider handles your sign-in. Viewing a board with outside preview images, opening an outside link, or playing an embedded video can send information to that site under its own privacy rules. Push notifications, if you enable them, use your device's push service.
Cookies and device storage
Authentication cookies keep you signed in and support secure sign-in. A local device preference remembers the theme you choose for a chat. The installable app can cache its basic offline shell. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. There is no optional tracking cookie to accept or reject. If that changes, we will update this notice and add consent controls where required before using it.
Your choices and deletion
You can change profile and privacy settings, download your account data, or delete your account in Account settings. Deletion hides your profile and associated content from the app, removes social connections and notifications, and clears profile identifiers. Some records may remain in the database, provider backups, security records, or where retention is legally required. You can also turn off push notifications in your device settings.
